This is Mountain Girl’s first hike & paint workshop!
Join Mountain Girl and Paige Rittersbacher in a beautiful location to hike, paint, and enjoy an afternoon outdoors.
We’ll take a short hike to a scenic spot where you’ll settle in to an open-air interactive session and learn how to paint with watercolor to capture flowers, mountains, trees, and more. Materials are included and you’ll be able to take some home to continue to practice your newly acquired watercolor skills.
All levels of ability are welcome. We will start with some beginner watercolor techniques and build on that. You will go home with several paintings that you create that day.
**This workshop’s setting is weather dependent. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we may need to move inside.
Prerequisites Hiking: No Previous Experience Required - Able to Walk 4-6 Miles Over Varied Terrain
Watercolor Painting: No Previous Experience Required
Itinerary
We will meet at the trailhead at noon, get to know the group, and prepare to hit the trail.
Our hike will be led at an easy recreational pace, with breaks along the way, and plenty of opportunities for pictures. Do not worry if you are a 'slow' hiker - this hike is for you!
Expect to enjoy a total of three-to-four hours outdoors, with one-to-two hours painting at the viewpoint before returning to the trailhead with your new masterpieces.
As the event gets closer, you will receive an email with more details including a list of what to bring and the exact location.
